These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MotionLab software extension ("Product") developed and distributed by Visual Media Concepts ("Company", "we", "us"). By purchasing, installing, or using the Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Product for the duration and scope specified by your license tier and billing plan:
Feature availability per tier is detailed on the Pricing page and may be updated as new features are added. One-time purchase licenses are perpetual and do not expire. Yearly subscription licenses remain active as long as your subscription is current.
Each license may be activated on up to 2 devices at any time. If a third device is activated, the oldest device is automatically deactivated. You may also manually deactivate a device from the Settings panel within the Product. This limit is enforced to prevent unauthorized sharing of license keys.
You may use the Product for personal and commercial video editing projects. You may install the Product on up to 2 computers you own, provided you are the sole user of those installations.

The Product includes an optional AI Assistant feature powered by Anthropic's Claude API. To use this feature, you must provide your own API key, which is stored locally on your device. When using the AI Assistant, your prompts are sent directly from the Product to Anthropic's servers using your API key. Visual Media Concepts does not have access to your API key or your AI conversations. Your use of the AI Assistant is subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes based on your location.
If you upgrade from a lower tier to a higher tier, the amount you previously paid (minus any refunds) is credited toward the new purchase price. Upgrade credits are valid for 6 months from the date of your original purchase and are calculated automatically at checkout. Upgrade credits apply to both one-time purchases and the first payment of a yearly subscription.
Because the Product is delivered digitally and can be used immediately upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds for one-time purchases. Yearly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, but partial refunds for the remaining subscription period are not provided. If you experience a technical issue that prevents activation or use of the Product, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue. Refunded amounts are deducted from any future upgrade credits.
We may release updates, bug fixes, or new features at our discretion. Perpetual license holders receive all updates for the lifetime of the Product. Yearly subscribers receive all updates while their subscription is active. Demo license holders receive updates during their 14-day demo period. We provide support via the in-app contact form and email on a best-effort basis.
The Product, including all code, design, and assets, is the intellectual property of Visual Media Concepts. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The Product is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all system configurations. We are not responsible for any data loss, project corruption, or other damages resulting from use of the Product.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Visual Media Concepts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Product. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product.
We reserve the right to terminate your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall the Product and destroy all copies. Demo licenses automatically expire at the end of the 14-day demo period. Yearly subscriptions that are cancelled or not renewed will expire at the end of the current billing period.
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Product after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
